Being just a 2-hour ferry ride away, we crossed over into Uruguay for 3 days in the capital city of Montevideo, as well as the quaint city of Colonia del Sacramento.

We finally made it to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World! After months of anticipation, we were able to witness and explore one of the most beautiful places on Earth!
After 3 weeks in Peru, we finally made our way to Cusco, the former Incan capital and current cultural capital of Peru.
We spent two weeks in Arequipa and the surrounding Colca Canyon, while taking a Spanish course and living as foreign exchange students with the Liendo family.
After an overnight pitstop in Piura, just across the Peruvian border, we arrived by plane into Lima, Peru’s capital.
