Tomb Raiding in Angkor Wat

The highlight of any trip to Cambodia is undoubtedly an expedition through the massive and speechlessly impressive Angkor Archaeological Park, usually known as Angkor Wat. That this was not voted as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World is an offensive travesty of biblical proportions!




Many scenes of the Hollywood blockbuster “Tomb Raider” were filmed in and around the literally hundreds of Khmer ruins that dot the Archaeological Park, like the massive Bayon temple






















We had to get to Angkor Wat before dawn in the pitch black in order to capture the majestic sunrise over the towers




So an elephant walks in a bar…
