The Wonders of Machu Picchu

We finally made it to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World! After months of anticipation, we were able to witness and explore one of the most beautiful places on Earth! Nestled among the tall mountain peaks near the Sacred Valley of Peru, Machu Picchu is still somewhat of an archeological mystery to many. Was it a holy village for shamans and other Incan authorities, or was it a winter retreat built for noblility? While there’s still some debate going on, what is clear is that Machu Picchu is truly one of the most spectacular, man-made wonders of history. Trust us when we tell you that these photos don’t do this place any justice–you have to see it for yourself!
