A short flight from Taiwan, we spent a few sleepless nights gambling and exploring the former Portuguese colony-turn-Chinese tourism mecca of Macau. Between the authentic Cantonese street food, numerous shopping outlets and of course the glitzy casinos, Macau was a great pit stop as we made our way overland across the border into mainland China.
